Hi there everyone, I visited Laos last year and I have to say that this country is one of the best places I have visited in a long time. Where most countries are modern and changing with technology, Laos still remains original. In other words, when in Laos, you will not see McDonalds, Starbucks or Hiltons here. Perfect in all ways, I have already planned my next trip to Laos in 2010. I also wrote a travel blog just on <snip>is you want to see pictures and read up about it.
Luang Prabang has to be one of my favorites considering that it is a UNESCO World Heritage Town. The place is absolutely amazing! So, if you have doubts about visiting Laos, please don't. You should visit it now while the old charm of Laos is still strong.
You know I am actually planing my Laos trip this coming winter and it will be my first trip oversea and into Laos. I'm also planing my trip to Luang Prabang and the rest of the countryside for that matter. :)
