I'm writing from THAILAND, our hospital is planning to expands market into LAOS. We plan to have more patients from LAOS and we are looking for a business partner in Vientiane to work as our representation. Representation will help us find the patients and transfer them to Bangkok Hospital Medical Center. In return, the representation will received an attractive referral fee from us as well. If you are interested in working with us, I will always available to discuss for more information, please feel free to contact me at the address below.

Bangkok is very far from Vientiane.

I would recommend you to consider building the hospital in Vientiane, so you can not attract not only people in the city, but also from the outskirts. Vientiane is now lacking of good hospital, start first and get the benefit first.

How do you think?

Thanks for your reply, I plan to open the hospital there as well, but this required big investment. So I would like to try having our representation first to see how many Lao patients flow into Bangkok. My idea is that I will cooperate with the tour operators and encourage medical tourism. I may ask the tour agents (who has outbound trip to Bangkok) to add one day program for health check up. This is just only basic idea I have now.

So if any one interest, please share your idea.

As i know, alot of Lao people go to Nongkai and Oudon province for medical check up. It is very easy to cross the bridge to hospital in Thailand, the facilities there are almost equal to the hospital in BKK. So i think you will have a lot of compititors. However, if your hospital located in Vientiane, you will be in the front of your compititors. Lao people are getting richer and they are now care very much about their health. You may start from clinic and expand your business to the bigger level.

Please come to Laos and invest in Laos...Laos needs more modern medical facility...Not many Lao people can afford to make a trip down there...The LPDR government will certaintly coorporate with you as they do with another company that have been invested and doing business in Laos...

Thank You very much, I'm truly appreciated for your kind advice. The reason why I want to have just a representation is that, right now I see a growing number of Laos patients coming to my hospital. This implies that there is a group of Lao people who are willing to travel to Bangkok for medical treatment. So I think my target can be expatriates and local lao people who are will to have "medical tourism" to Thailand. I'm also plan to advertise the hospital in newspapers and magazine, so could you please advice me which newspaper and magazine should be used to reach my target.

Thank you very much for your kind advice.

For newspaper, I would recommend Lao english newspaper: Vientianetimes, and for lao newspaper, I would recommend Pathetlao, and Vientianemai newspaper.

For magazine, you may advertise at sayolao, update magazine, or targetlao magazine

For website, I would recommend inlao.net, because there are a lot of lao people there. If you want to advertise in this website, you are also very welcome. It is free to advertise in this website if you help support our donation project for poor lao children in remote area.

Regards,

Samakomlao webmaster
