XF gearbox jerk at low speeds finally sorted, turns out it wasn't as bad as I feared

I honestly thought I was going to have to sell my 2015 Jaguar XF as a mechanic's special and just cut my losses after the ZF eight speed started doing this really annoying lurch when I'd slow down to a crawl in traffic near Al Nahda and then accelerate again, it felt like the whole drivetrain was taking a half second to figure out what gear it wanted and then it would clunk into action like someone had rear ended me gently, and I was bracing for a five figure bill after reading all the forum horror stories about mechatronic failures and torque converter replacements. My regular garage in Abu Shagara did a fluid change with some generic stuff and it actually made the problem worse which was just brilliant, and I was about to put the car up on Dubizzle when a friend sent me a link to a place that has actual Jaguar Transmission Specialists Sharjah on their website and said they'd sorted his F Pace a few months back for a similar issue. I limped it over there fully expecting the worst and honestly the guy just plugged in his laptop and showed me the adaptation values were completely out of whack because the fluid had never been changed properly and the clutches were slipping more than they should, they did a full flush with the proper ZF Lifeguard fluid and recalibrated the mechatronic unit and I drove it home yesterday with the shifts so smooth I kept checking the mirror to make sure I wasn't dreaming. I know it's early days but I'm just so relieved there's a proper fix for this that doesn't involve a second mortgage or rolling the dice on a used gearbox from a scrapyard, and I wanted to share in case anyone else is staring at their XF or XJ wondering if they're about to be financially ruined by a jerky transmission.
