In USA, the store we used charges $10.00 for sending $500,00 to Thailand and Laos.

on wal-mart super market, they charge onlyunder $10 from u.s.a to Laos

In my areas (Australia), I had a very bad experience with Moneygram. The service provider was South Asian, and they asked me very stupid questions, like how often do you send $, are you sending to your family or else bla..bla...

So I just forget about Moneygram, and so I prefer Western Union better and easier...

Money Transfer fees from Australia(Melbourne) to Laos for Western Union:
$300 fee $35
$500 fee $50
$1000 fee $70
they charge more than Moneygram but they also have more branches including all australia post...

In the UK Western Union charge 9.8% for 100 pounds to send to Laos
