"It's devastating for me," Kewell said. "There was no intent. The referee has killed my World Cup."Kewell said he had to watch the rest of the match in the dressing room with a security guard.
I am in Australia and I do not really like socceroos very much but giving the redcord is a bid unjust because this ball to hand (he didnot intent to touch the ball). However, if we saw the prvious matches when a player meant to touch the ball or hand to ball, the referee just gave him only a yellow.

What about your opinions folks?
Yes i do agree, the ref was very strict and i guess the australian fans were not satisfied with the ref?

u guys dont understand football... it was the right decision for the ref no matter wether it was on his intention or not... because he was broking the goal...

you seem understand football more than anyone here right?? the ref was right to give a penalty , but ref should have given only a yellow card and penalty shoot out is enough for Gnana...and it 's fair for both team.
Yes for penalty but no red card for sure, that was a hash dicision the ball hit his arm while he try to use his chest to block a ball a yellow and penalty would be justify. Tim Cahill also was a victim of bad dicision from the ref on previous match against Germany.
