Hospitals in Luang Probang
Permalink

Does anyone know how I can contact the hospital in Luang Probang? Either hospital will do or perhaps both. The reason for this is when I was trekking outside of LP in a Hmong village there was a little girl with malaria and I'm trying to find out if I can pre pay some money to a hospital so this girl can get some treatment. I have got the Father's I.D. card number , but need to know how to proceed. I would ultimately like to contact the hospital. Any Ideas??

Thank you

Luang Prabang
Provincial Hospital

LPPH is located 4 Km South of the Luang Prabang city centre , covering an area of 7 hectares. There are 286 staff members in the hospital, including 15 master-degree-conferring specialists and 25 bachelor-degree-conferring medical doctors.

LPPH services are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Access is very convenient, the hospital being only 5 minutes from the city centre by taxi (Tuk-Tuk). In emergencies, ambulance services are always available

Medical services

Visitors with serious injuries or illnesses are almost always flown to Vientiane for emergency transit to hospitals in northeastern Thailand, or put on direct flights to Chiang Mai or Bangkok. There are some services in the area:

Boua Phanh Pharmacie (252252; Th Sakkarin) One of the better pharmacies in town.

Chinese Hospital (254026; Ban Phu Mok) Modern medical equipment and supplies, but sometimes short of trained personnel.

Provincial Hospital (252049, 212123; Th Setthathirat) Neither this hospital nor the Chinese hospital receive high marks from foreign medical observers.

I have found this site before but there is still no way to contact the hospital. The " contact us " portion of the site doesn't work. Any other ideas? Time is kind of important here and I just can't find anywhere to contact a hospital or doctor
Thank you for your reply

You just call them. It is not that expensive, I guess.
Internet in Laos is very slow, and people don't like to check their emails.

Believe me aww

Hi Cyril, Have you tried  to ask people at http://www.laofab.org/  ?

I think some of them on that forum may know the real Laung Prabang hospital's number.
