I am sorry to say, but if that is the Lao's future, we are in trouble. :(

Lao people in LaoPDR and Lao kids in LaoPDR like these type of music and singing style.  It is so amateurish in my opinion.  I would be emabrass to put them up with Thai, Cambodian, or Vietnamese on stage to show the world our music.

I don’t know much about Lao music, but I always see the contestants singing only slow music. Is it a restriction for Lao singing contest to sing only slow or soft songs? I mean is it ok for the contestant to sing dance or hip hop songs something like that. I think it would be better to be different (but also good voice). I think all of the above contestants have very nice voices, but the style of singing and types of songs are almost the same for all of the contestants.

I like your opinion, you certainly hide no bones about it!, and to tell you the truth, Lao PDR need someone like you to be the judge in this area hehehe!
Oh yea! what's with the slow song and our people? if I have to listen to only slow songs like this most the times I'll probably moving slowly in a speed of a snail all my life. COME ON! people, we need to get speed up like this!

Yeah. I totally agree with you. All of the contestants' voices are very nice, but they need to be more different. I've seen most of Lao songs being on the top chart are slow songs, and almost all of their singing styles are similar. I don't mean that Lao people should copy all of European or American styles, but it would be good if they know how to adapt into Lao style.
I also think that Laos needs someone like you to be a judge for this kind of contest (hihi)
PS: Someone may like to listen to slow song, but sometimes they may want to listen to other types of music.
Anyway I still love Laos and Lao people
