Just watched the game, very poor game neither wanted to win. Laos will now play Vietnam or Malaysia in the Semi Final, and Singapore will play Thailand in the other Semi Final.

It is just like a business investment. The higher the risk, the higher return or the higher the loss. It might be reasonable to accuse both teams not to put effort to win because they just wanted to play safe and advanced to next round together. However, it might be unfair to Myanmar soccer team but result 0-0 is real. This is life. As everyone knew, SEA Games has no standard, so don' think about standard in SEA Games. Any team would do the same (I guess) because pride and gold medal in which both teams are expecting for. In the past SEA Games, most people talked about negative integrity of referee, yet Laos should be proud to be fair and integral in this matter.

I remember like 10 years ago, Indonesia play with Thailand and scored an own goal because they tried to escape the host. That was real suck, weird and loss dignity.

This should be valuable lesson for SEA Games Football Committee. All matches should be played at the same time at different locations. Otherwise, same scenario as the match between Laos and Singapore will be guaranteed.

That the out would definitely comes out with same things even they play in the same times. you know why? Laos and Singapore are leading in point, even in the same the outcome will come the same.... It is football, it happen in anyway in the world. by the way, Laos and Singapore didnot do anythings wrong, if you carefully observe the games, Laos was trying to attack, Singapore tried to defend... but since a draw is beneficial for both teams.
On second half Laos was attacking relentlessly but to no avail. Well that's soccer you can't always score. In fact, scoreless is quite common in soccer unlike some other codes. This discussion is over, let's move on to the semi final.
