Namvei Development Co. Ltd. to develop industry-commerce zone
(KPL) The government of the Lao PDR has recently approved the Namvei Development Company of Taiwan to develop the Industry-Commerce Zone at Km 21 in Saythany district, Vientiane Capital.
The agreement which involves a 75-year concession of more than 100 ha of land, was signed in Vientiane on 30 October between Mr. Thongmy Phommisay, Deputy-Minister of Planning and Investment, and chairman of Namvei Development Company Limited of Taiwan.
Mr. Nam Viyaketh, Minister of Industry and Commerce and senior officials of Laos and Taiwan attended the signing ceremony.
The Namvei Development Company Limited of Taiwan has been operating in Taiwan, China and Malaysia for more than 20 years and it has now attracted more than 70 interested investors for the Lao PDR.
That's good new for Lao, because Taiwan companies need the place to build the factory for ASEAN countries, so they can sell every things that make in Lao to any ASEAN countries without pay higher import tax.
They are very good for making hardware ( Computer motherboard, case, laptop computer and server for the whole world, cellular phone too.).
I hope Lao should try to attract more Taiwanese companies to Lao, because they will build more factory and training Lao people, and more jobs for Lao people. ( for China company, forget about it, they just want to get raw material from Lao and ship back to china to make goods and sell back to Lao, they just want to move those poor chinese people to Lao, and then make an influence in Lao. ( they never want to help Lao, they want to put Lao under control.)
