I hear ya, sticky rice, jerky and maybe some jeao padek. Forget all that other crap. You want something fresh? Give them a banana or orange.

kaow niew and sieen savan...mmmmm, I'd go for that.

This one tamarind, one pastry and small tiger water thing just doesn't quite cut it.

What flight(s) are these? International? Domestic flights I've been on only had the one pastry, one tamarind and bottle of water. I wouldn't want to sit next to the guy eating all those peppers mid-flight.

I'm not quite sure knowing all of
The Lao Air Lines flight schdule. But,
I think most of their flights are not
long distance, maybe between
30minutes to 1 hour???.
Snack, fruit or salad-sanwich should
be more appropriate.

Since majority of America's Airlines
for short distance fly, only serve soda
and peanut. And if you're lucky enough
you don't have to pay.

I would suggest sticky rice & beef/
pork jerky. It is too heavy.

So sorry, I meant I wouldn't suggest sticky rice with
          Beef/Pork Jerky.

Does Laos Airlines serve Beer Lao? I'd rather drink beer Lao instead of orange juice or purified water.

They can't serve much as they are short flight from Bangkok or Hanoi. No time to serve all kind of food as no time to wait to clean up. Please understand. Paper package as it is easy to clear up the table.

If you don't like it then you have many choices as Thai airways or Bangkok Airways or Vietnam or Ankor airline or Vietnam airline still have its food to serve you. For me, Natiuonal airline means nothing if there service and facility is lousy so just choose the best airline to fly. Chooses are in your hands. Don't just put yourself into trouble by traveling with an olod airplane like Laos airline. Being of loving country does not mean to be at risk.

Well too bad, it is Laos food and we are proud of it, it might smell bad but it sure taste good. If they don't like it then they could always walk off the plane in mid air. We shouldn't be ashamed of our food. If they think our dishes stink then they are looking down on us and should not be welcomed.
I'm sure other nations with their food also stink if not as bad as ours it could be worse. Take for example some smelly CHEESE!

Proud LAO boy.

Are you Laotian or Thai?    Your writing in Lao up there is mixed Lao & Thai. I believed you're Laotian who's watch too much Thai drama or Thai's LAKORN T.V. Here the real PHASA LAO:  Tha Hap Boh Dai Ko Boh Chum Pen Tong Hap. Do you know " Pha Sa Bork Xaad, Marayath Bork Takoon "  Next time if you want to write Phasa Lao, don't mix with other language because we have enough our own beautiful language already. If you're Thai, here I'll teaching you how to speak Thai:  " Tha Rap Mai Dai Koh Mai Chum Pen Tong Rap "

Thank's:    Khon Lao in the U.S.

oh ! good , when I took a round flight to LPB they only gave me a plastic glass of water and a tiny wet towel for one flight and as I had been served with some candys with fruits on my last flight I said for myself Oh ! now that they bought a new ATR they reduced their services on board for some economic reason ... well , we should understand them ... I thought...

It may sound appealing especially for locals. But considering the majority of passengers are non-Lao (and meal is only served for international flight, not domestic), sticking with the same menu is probably still the way to do it.

Thank you, NangDarlig to help me corrected spelling Lao and Thai words in English. Do you have this kind of dictionary? I want to make sure to correct spelling next time when I'm writhing Lao and Thai language in English alphabets.  So far that I know and see to many difference spelling from difference zones of the world. You'll see North America is difference from the Europe. Lao is also difference from Thai even though our own language, but we know how to pronounce isn't that? How about the people beside our 2 nations? I believe they'll having trouble to pronounce 99.9%, here couple examples for them to confuse pronouncing:

RUP:     some pronounce Roop
BOR:     some pronounce Ber, bork.

You wrote RUP MAI DAI will be 2 difference pronouncing:
1. ROOP MAI DAI.
2. RAAP MAI DAI.

Khon Lao in the U.S.

You are the one that is correcting my initial spelling now you are asking me for dictionary? as i told you i am not too concern on how anyone spelling I am capable of putting two and two together and try to understand what the messages they try to get across. This topic is about food serving on Lao Airlines all i am saying is that if people don't care for it they do not need to eat it to me it looks good so i am taking it as insult when the person say"lap mai dai and go on to say that looks like something that served on the bus.
