All I know about Lam Mahaxay is that it is originated in Muang Mahaxai in Khammouane province. Many famous singers from Thailand also sing this, for example, Tai Orathai.

Lam mahaxay is the copy right of Mahaxay, Bualapha, Xaybouathong and some districts in Savannakhet.

Tai Orathai in Thailand, her original blood is Lao Pouan from Xiang khounag... If you can see her grand mother speaks is exactly Xiangkhoung style...
