Yes!! We do have the name, Lao called ( tee-key= Field hockey, and we also have tee-key kang ma= a Vientiane Derby,this festival begin at koun 8 kam to 15 kam of every December, so every yrs of December all Diplomatic get together to play a games, and after the Big boy take over the country and all these diplomatics left the country because they don't like ( poliburo style) so the only game left is TEE-KEY that's it for today....
The traditional sport of "Tee Kii" existed way before the French arrived. Before 1975, this game of field hockey was competed between the commoners and the aristocrats(or people who served the king). It was considered as a ritual, rather than a sport.
