Malaysian company to invest millions US dollar in new trade centre
(KPL) A Malaysian company of Universal Pacific is investing US$50 million in the construction of a Complex Trade Centre in Vientiane Capital.
The construction project of new Complex Trade Centre is now under the feasibility study. The new complex trade centre will be built on 53 hectares at Dongphosy village, Hadsayfong district, Vientiane, which will comprise a hotel, a restaurant and a duty-free shop.
In addition, the company showed its interests in Lao garden construction project on 50 ha in Vientiane. This site will be a centre for exhibiting handicraft production. The construction plan was proposed by Director General of Malaysian Universal Pacific Company, Mr. Terence Lai during visit Vientiane Mayor Sombath Yialiher, on 20 May, Vientiane.
Built and invested by Malaysia. Most of the money goes to Malaysia. the rest is to pay for Laotiane employees. Even we don't get that much benefit but at least there will create lots of jobs to local Laotiane.

Wow! 2 big projects near the same village: luxury golf resort and trade center. this place will probably change a lot in the next years... i hope for the benefits of Laos people, especialy people living around.
