The first picture is NOT Lao palace. It is the one of the Prasat of Cambodian Royal Palace in Phnom Penh, called Prasat Deveavinichai or the Throne Hall. The photo took during the Coronation Ceremony of King Sisowath Monivong of Cambodia (1875 – 1941). You can see him in the photo too.
How come Cambodian king's name are so similar to Lao or Thai people name? Where it is today, a lot of Cambodain name are short and different. Just wondering.
Could anyone tell me more about the second photo. I knew the highness who sit on the king's seat was Jao Ounkham, and the young highness who sit infront of the king's Ounkham was Jao Sisavangvong (i guess). However, i didn't know about two highness who sit on the left and right side of Jao Ounkham (one of them could be jao Sakkarin)... Thanks
