The biggest buddha statue, 20 m in width and 28 m in height, has been constructed from Ausgust 2008 up to March 2009, and is now located at Chomphet Thepnimit in Donkho village, Pakse city, Champasak province, southern Laos

I wonder what the statue is made of. I think they should built a Wihan over to protect from damaging over time.

I travel from north to south of laos I saw temple more than school and they keep building more temple but school no one talk about I really don`t like they should do opposite because we need shool for future and the kids

So what is the purpose of building this? There are many historical sites in Laos that need renovation. Why build another one.
