Laos Soccer Coach, Valeri from Russia, has been replaced by Saisana.... ? how come?......I believe in foreign coach better, as we can see the past performance.......
Faith On Lamnao And Phayvanh
PHUKET (4 Dec 2008) – Lamnao Singto and Phayvanh Lounglath will provide much of the thrust for Laos as they look to win their first match in Group B of the AFF Suzuki Cup 2008 against Malaysia in two days.
The Laotians, who emerged as the best team in the recent AFF Suzuki Cup qualifiers in Cambodia – have been hard at work with club Hong Anh Gia Lai (HAGL) before their arrival into Thailand.
"The two players will be the main gamble for us in this competition," said Laos team manager Niwat Klaysang.
"They did very well in the qualifiers in Cambodia and over the last month, I think that they have become even more confident.
"It is important that we win our first match as otherwise, it will be hard for us to make the next round - and that is our aim."
The two weeks spent at HAGL saw Laos playing two matches there with them scoring a 2-1 and then a 3-2 victory against their opponent.
And in Bangkok, they then played to a 2-2 draw against a Third Division club side before they travel down south to Phuket.
Niwat said that their recent decision to replace Russian coach Veleriy Dvovin with former international Saysana Savatdy has not affected the team adversely.
In fact, Niwat felt that the change has brought a new calm to the Laos national team where they are now more composed and are enjoying playing the game more.
"We have not seen this Malaysian team before but we are aiming for a win no matter what," added Niwat.
Laos Soccer Coach, Valeri from Russia, has been replaced by Saisana.... ?
, I think it is quite so stupid to replace the Russian coach before the AFF suzuki starts. why don't let him finishes the suzuki cup and then replace him?. however, Maybe the Lao football federation think that the suzuki cup has no hopes as usually.
