I don't think the dancers are from Salavan or from the south. They probably rather come from Vientiane or Luang Prabang.

I look white like a singer's skin but I came from Meung Kong. My uncle who is 75yrs old right now. His name John he looks like white French man. My uncle also has blonde hair and fair skin. But he is Laotian.

I'm from the south too. I have a fair skin and the rest of my family also have light skin. Believe it or not, some Thai Tai are not originally native to that region because their ancestors migrated from the north. For example, my great grandparents migrated from Sayaboury to the south due to the Chinese Haw invasion in the late 19th century.

I believe that all members of the Lao royal families in southern Laos came from Luang Prabang. King Sayasethathirath moved from Luang Prabang to Vientiane and also King Fa Ngum also came from Luang Prabang. Therefore, all Lao kings
ruled the country from Luang Prabang.
