If Laos have the government like Thailand "military monarchy demcracy" it will not work. The county will be thrown into Kaos. The rich will be richer and the poor even poorer than now. Then we will have the same thing, revolution to bring back communism.

This stile of government work. Yes it work slowy, but effectively. Ever since the government open its door for more trades, they see the benifits of free market. They can also see the danger of free market. The change works for the size of the country and the people.

The Laos nok will not agree with this. Because they have so much money while living in the United State. They want the government to be democracy, so that they can go home and be rich. What they dont understand. If the government open up too quickly, Many rich foreign countries will buy Laos. This will lead to foreign ownership of Laos and the Laos Nok still loose.

The design is OK.
1. It is true that most bills in other countries portray their heroes or persons whomade a dent to their respective history. But in the new Lao kip real photos of women were portrayed which reflects the Lao value and respect for women. It acknowledges the contribution of women in ensuring the continuity of the Lao race, as well as the representation of unity among major ethnic groups. The women are unknown to many, and their representationin the bill only shows that Lao recognizes ordinary citizen, the unsung heroes, the ones who work for the leaders so that leader will be able to achieve its desires. Leaders lead, but its the people who gets the work done. Hope you will not forget that.
2. The buffalo and the elephant are Ok, they represent culture and traditions; which is balance by progress and development as represented by the electic lines.

quit being so critical. i thinks it was a great idea.
it has lots of meaning to it; it shows that there are different cultures within the country by presenting different women on the kip...the scene on the back of the kip shows that agriculture is a big part of their area. Who says thay have to show influencial people on the kip. it's great they show just the citizens of that area!

I like the new design EXCEPT for the women's faces...looks as if they were pasted onto the bodies using Photoshop...doesn't blend in at all with the rest of the design.

Just because all this people live in Laos it doesn't mean they own the country . Lets look at this as a small melting pot compare to America. Don't worry our county is big enough for all walks of life , learn how to share as one of Laotian I always thought that we're people with big heart. The more populations Lao have the better is good for economy, besides it's too lonely to live by our self. Relax

I like the old bank note better than the new one to me the new bank note can send a wrong message god for bit if any of this girl did something bad in their personal life for example: Have an affair with someone's husband or do porno video and than she's also on Lao bank note this wouldn't be a good image for Laos at all . Isn't it true that these girls represent Laos? Since they're on Laos' bank note.
