Which country should Laos use as a model to develop our country? and to which direction should we move to the year 2020 ?
Thailand ? Vietnam ? China ? Singapore ? America ? Japan ?
Pick what is the best and what will be affective for Laos. There are good and bad from all that is listed. What works for others might not work for you.
I think we should follow Combodia's direction. It's the cloest country that Laos can catch up with them by the year 2020.
I don't see the competative mentality on this matter. Why do we need to compete with anyone? Why don't we just set goal for our country and try to work toward that goal in our own manner.
You should model your country to Switzerland because both countries is a landlaock.

Do you mean Laos should develop the country by the Lao way or Lao manner? I disagree with you. If Lao wants to develop the country by the Lao way, it will never go anywhere and it will be more and more lag behind its neighbouring countries.
Firstly, we should develop our country by our way and learn more the success of countries near to us. 1. America and Japan, we can follow their high technology 2. if we insist our socialism ,we must study with china and go our way. China has their characteristic socialism. 3.singapore 's rule and regulation are so strict , Lao people don't like the strict Law. 4. if we want to learn the spirit , I suggest " Chinese or vietnamese" u know what I mean?

Never follow the country that has almost same level development as us( such as Combodia)...
If we want to be strong and develop fast, we must follow the bigest like China in communist world.
Previously, there were good exemplar such as Japan and South Korea, and Taiwan, they follow the bigest world economic capitalism power like US, so now those countriesn and province surpass other countries in same region in term of more accelerated development.
