The new 10 million note is the equivalent of about £2 at the dominant black market exchange rate. A hamburger at an ordinary cafe costs about 15 million Zimbabwe dollars (£3).
That hamburger has trebled in price this month amid shortages of bread, meat and most basic goods.
This is how many Zimbabwe dollars were needed to buy a loaf of bread
What do you think about Laos banknote in the future?
don't worry for kip... it's value is rising every year.
But what you show us can be the story of US $ in the few next years. the amount of american debt is growing and growing (public + private), the country produce less and less richness, and produced many many billions of $ during the last 10 years.... many $ without more richness mean that the value of the dollar is in danger...

US economic will be better after the Obama become a president of USA, it's better than current situation, but the valaue of us dollar i am not sure of its value, however ,i believe that the new government of Us will be able to handle and control the economic situations. American need a change!!!!? Lao american need a change as well!!
In the future, there will have no more Lao kip, but ASEAN money currency as in European community.
Lao economy from now on will go closely with other ASEAN Countries.
Believe me, I learn about Finance
it would be convinient ,if the ASEAN had the currency ,but it needs some time to wait for the ASEAN member's economic growth in the same level. because the cambodia, Laos and Mymar are still poor, who wants to use the same currency with them?
would be convenient if ASEAN nations will have one currency. however, i don't think that will happen. at least not in the next 20 to 30 years or so. just a thought.
