why Thai didn't give a lot of respect to Lao people when Lao have a lot to do with economic success of Thailand ? example . during the war Thai make a lot of money from let US have air base in Thailand to bomb Lao . when Lao became republic a lot of Lao flee to Thailand UN pour a lot of money to Thailand to help refugee in Thailand . when these people settle in third world they do buy a lot of food import from Thailand and the same time they did introduce Thai product and Thai food to the world . example . red bull . now Thai still have a lot more benefit from Lao economic growth . most of labour and raw material for development in Lao most are come from Thailand . even the bridge across the Mekong are benefit Thailand more than Lao .
It is simple, Laos have the $$$ and Thailand have all the goods. Yes! I have to agree with you regarding the beneficial of those bridges. That's why Thailand wants to help build more bridges across the MeKong River.
Yes, many young Lao people go to Thailand to work legally and illegally and Lao consumers are using Thai products everyday e.g. buying the cooking products and food and vegetables from Thais, these are directly contributing the promoting and benefiting the Thai economy. Besides, Laos is importing many factory products from Thailand. Laos is helping Thai economy all year round.
