cars that i see very frequently in Laos are

Hyundai Starex
Toyota Vigo
Mitsubishi Triton
Toyota Fortuner
Toyota Land Cruiser Prado
Some Chinese company called Chery i think
Isuzu Dmax
Toyota Camry (even hybrids)
Honda Accords
Ford Ranger
Some ultra cheap Hyundai box-cab truck...anybody know what they are called? They always have Kolao on the back of them.

other than that, what u see on the street is pretty diverse.

Actually, you see Mercedes S class and ML quite frequently. I asked my cousin, 20 years old, lives in small village of Xannakham if she liked Mercedes, and even she knew that BMWs were cooler and appealed to younger people. haha

LOL.. yeah, I wouldn't mind to buy one for poosao noy if I only have one over there. I've never been back to Laos since I don't have any family in laos but I wouldn't mind going to visit tho, someday.

in Vientiane, you can see more and more very small cars like Kia Picanto (12000US$) or new this year: Chinese Cherry QQ (7500US$)... but drive carefully with this last car and hope you'll never had accident (and probably don't expect to keep this car working during many years).

Canda, before asking about a Ferrari dealer in Laos, you should think little bit. It's Laos, not America. We're not even close to Thailand!! We are still a 3RD world country! And you're asking about a Farrari Spider that's worth $150,000 to $200,000? Be real and ask about Hondas and Toyotas. There's a Mercedes dealer in Laos and I'm sure it's not easy selling those Mercedes. If someone in Laos that is rich enough and if they want a Farrari, I'm sure they can just order one.

That price, you can ask any Lao friends go and check in Vientiane. I quite like Honda Civic and confusing for chose between Civic and Acord.

around 3 weeks ago I've been around Car Shops in VTE, thats why I could tell you that price. Yes, according for your Quote, you could by 2 Car like that in America, but here in Vientiane, is Lao. Transport, Tax ..... you think would be still same price with America any more ? I hope you not be idot like that much, friend.

For teenager in laos 95 % we don`t have car like you said honda civic or toyota , only $100 to 400 US dollar per month we can not buy those car only 5% percent teenager can drive because their parent buy ,most peoples have brand new car in vientiane mostly corruption and business peoples normally drive motocycle we can not affort these car 32 000 or 40 000 dollar how long i can save money to buy my monthly income $200 us dollar .some people have only car but no food to eat . you guy in over sea ok to drive these car not in laos

I agree on that, I think you can save $$ enough to buy a car, just don't spend much or find other job that can offer you a good income. i know it's hard for us to save and buy a car, do you know the government can offer a car for somone who has a higher position in the government?
