L Zone

Hip hop band L-Zone will hit the stage on this saturday at a concert hosted by the Vang Nampherng restaurant in Sikeuth village, Naxaithong district, Vientiane.

Since the band released their latest studio album, entitled Yak Hen Faen Kao  (I Want to See My Ex-girlfriend), over the Pi Mai Lao  (Lao New Year) period they have been touring in southern Laos and now have a long list of performances in Vientiane.

“This is the first time we have performed at this venue. We will perform our hit songs, especially those from the new album, including Yak Hen Faen Kao, Khaeng Lod (Motorbike Racing) and Ban Hao Mi Ngan (We're Having a Party),” said band leader Phonesavanh Lathsamy, or Ling.

He said the audience would also be entertained by other talented acts from the C-Star Music recording company, which has a contract with L-Zone.

L-Zone has two members, Ling, and Khaek, who is currently taking the place of former member Mr Thanosin Thinsomphone, also known as Noy, who has other work commitments.

“These days I'm very busy because we've had so many performance requests and I'm also studying hard for the final year of my course at the Faculty of Law and Political Science, National University of Laos,” Ling said.

“We're now working on a VCD version of our latest album, which we hope to finish by June. It features popular tourist sites in both Vientiane and our hometown of Luang Prabang,” he said.

“In the middle of May I will be on the judging panel for a rapping competition organised by the Lang Bangfai Breakdancing Club,” he added.

This event is part of the second street basketball competition held by the club, with other activities planned including graffiti contests and breakdancing shows.

Only Nerds and nuts listening to this kind of song.
lyrics are totally crazy and meaningless.

Be careful, using your language...

Educated people never talk like this. Only homeless and people from high-mauntainous areas use such language!

c'mon guys! don't be ridiculous. How will you say when you'd like to mention that s'one is using inappropreiate language in a lao style?
we mostly say "wao bor sou parp khue khon ma tair pou ta pha OR ma tair par (jungle).
that's what I meant and I have no intention to look down on Lao Soung people or sth as in my point of view, these people are hard-working.
However, if you guys feel like you're in that crowd then I can't help.

I'm not like typical laotian who always keep his mouth shut. Importantly, I'll give comments on sth that I don't like and feel like it's not right straight away.

Besides this, I have the right to show my opinions ragarding something based on the fact. Actually, it's very true that most of the songs of L-Zone are poorly produced and non-professional contributing to non prizes in LMA 2008. However, because of the stupid  and funny lyrics people found it entertaining to listen to.
My point is that instead of listening to craps people should open up their mind supporting Lao professional singers whose songs are well produced with beautiful lyrics and state-of-the-art rythm in order to make them step up into the international level.

Peace out

Ummm.... I'm strongly sure that those people who wander around to say that other Park Mah or Look Mah must be eligible to call Homeless Dogs' Babies

if you wanna argue s'one regarding some issues please then use logical and sensible reasons as well as using appropriate language because this is formal Lao website not your home.
