M-Point Mart, is a brand new convenient store, stepping up in the capital ! In the near future, they plan to have this convenient store cover all parts of Laos.
You need to have data of how many unit pc and gaming console sold in Viengtiane first. You needto know if you going to have a chance make profit from it first.
About Gamestop . . . people can buy fake copies of the games at very low prices. As long as there is no control over copyright and copyright laws, a place like Gamestop is impossible.
I guess what you could do is sell fake copies, but have a nice store environment. That might be nice.
About the mart-chain. The logo kind of looks like Coca-Cola. You know with the white lines on the store sign . . .
For my part, i would be very happy if we could find in Vientiane a shop like ou french "leroy-merlin' or 'castorama'
This is big big supermarket (but only one big shop, employing many people, not many small one) dedicated for everything you need to improve your house and garden : tools, material....
Huge choise, very reasonnable prices, large stock!
As lao people do many things by themselves, as they ecome to have more money to improve their big, but often basic, home... i think it could be very usefull
such shops are very very successfull in France
http://www.leroymerlin.fr
Small shop far from Vientane could also use this big shop as their main provider/distributor... and they would become the local reseller
you'll be suprised of how Vientaine is over flow with rich people. everyone that own the cars and the house and any properties they are bought free and clear.
The store's rest rooms are not for the public. They are for the stores' customers and employees only. The public have to pay to use the rest rooms in the stores.
Wow! I think that is a great news for all lao people. it makes me feel so good to see a new development in Laos. We are under the shadow of other countries long enough!
