Man ceaselessly invent to make our world more beautiful. Lately, here, in this country, a laotian named “Hongkad SOUVANNAVONG” has invented, designed and produced new models of Xylophone “The Hongkad xylophone …” with several innovations. He has also invented many things like: new kind of xylophone’s mallets (hammers) and new technique for playing xylophone. His inventions alter the old playing technique to the new epoch-making discovery of playing xylophone. He also has invented instrument for chords “The Hongkad Piano Chords Scales”, he has invented the new system for writing music notes “The Hongkad system writing music notes”. He also has invented new kind of wind instrument called “The Dr. Hongkad Khaen”. He has composed more than 84 songs and has arranged more than 170 songs.

Dr Hongkad SOUVANNAVONG is an architect. Was born in Paris. He got his Master degree in architecture in Havanna (Cuba), PhD in architecture in Moscow Institute of Architecture. He has designed many buildings in Laos like: The Lao National Assembly, The Terminal Luang Praban Airport, The Lao Border Control Facilities of the Second Mekong International Bridge Savannakhet-Mukdahan, The Lao Government house, The Lao Embassy in Bangkok Thailand… ect. , some project in Cambodia and France.

Hongkad SOUVANNAVONG is a researcher in many area, he has researched and writed the thesis on Lao traditional architecture, he has designed and created many Lao fonts for computer, he also invented the new system writing in many languages in the world. He also created the new system programes for learning lao, and others…

Hongkad started to play classic guitar when he was ten years old. He loes music; He composes, arranges and plays: Piano, Alto Saxaphone, Soprano Saxophone, Clarinet, Guitar and also other instruments. He has released already 18 albums of instrumental music.
