3. Dan Savanh resort, Vientiane province, Laos

Congratulation for the progress!!!

The leaders of the nation got a lot of money from giving license to these Casinos (in thier own pockets).....I do wish their childs to be the good gamblers in future......not my childs.

The leaders, they all the time pretend to act like they love Laos...love our culture...care of the new generation whoes gonna be the main power to develop Laos in tomorrow, but they the fact that they are doing today is allowing foriengers to creat Casinos for thier own sons and daughters. so appreciated that we such good leaders like thisyawn!!!

They are bad for the future of the country. Only thr gamblers will come paly and the bad people will try to rob, steal and corrupt in order to have money to gamble. I have thought a lot about the future before I opened my mouth. How about you?

I am sure that Lao people will have the money to go to these places for gambling. If Casino is a sin place then the biggest sin place is LAS VEGAS in USA.

Yes gambling is a vice, that's why the Lao govt has laws against it. Las Vegas is very big sin town, lots of prostitutes, lots of gambling, drugs. Gambling and prostitution are bad for a town, province, country.

Isn't this one of the many problems that the Pathet Lao wanted to get rid off during the war? How ironic..

money talks ! money first ! sin after...it is an irony of fate...in 75 - 80 lao government conducted a wide range of campaign all over the coutry against all kind of gambling and debauchery, those who had the misfortune to be arrested were straightly deported to donh thao for man and dohnang for women regardless your raking in society... but now..??? everything has changed and going on changing in every sector.

So true.

I see things as a bottle. You can't cap certain things. Gambling is one of them, instead of gambling at the casino, which Asian in America LOVE (my mom goes all the time, but lies about it, tisk tisk. My friends said they saw her there!), they'll be gambling on **** fights or spending their money on booze.

Learn to save money Khon Lao!

Come on Lao people, many of you only look at one side of the coin. I think the main target group is not Lao people BUT foreigners/tourists who visit Laos and can enjoy their stay in nice hotels with entertainment facilities.

You can hear from news that many Thai tourists go to Cambodia just for gambling

Or you want tourists to just pass and use Laos as a transit route from Thailand to Southern China and from Thailand to Vietnam or vice versa.

Also, I dont think that ordinary Lao people would gamble in those casinos except some rich people.

I hope the government does consider  negative consequences of such establishments and  necessary measures have been taken.

Yes that is true. The Casinos have the games rigged that the casino has a HUGE percentage of winning.
