YES, I 100% AGREE WITH YOU that Lao people live in heaven. There are two cities name after heaven likes: Wiang Chan (the moon city) and Savanhnakhet (heaven city) in LAO.

But sorry.. i can't agree. In heaven, everything should be absolutly perfect. Nothing should be wrong.
Laos is for sure a great and wonderfull country. Nature is beautifull, most of people are very nice, culture is very rich and wonderfull, economic grow up.... but there are still many things wrong in Laos (poverty is still high, heathcare and education level are still low...), so i'm affraid we can't qualify Laos as heaven.
Anyway, i'm very happy to go to Laos for 5 weeks in 2 weeks!! waiting for great great holidays!

I never get to see a beautiful nature in Laos before. We came to AMerica when i was very young age. I'm appreciated. I never been back to Laos yet, someday i will.

Great pictures I must say ! I experienced a trip to LakXao in the wet season heading to vietnam and saw that we share the same picturesque views near both borders check point laos-vietnam. Yes, money is not every thing in our life and happiness does not always depend on it...we sure can be happy with bit of it and we`ll bring nothing with us when we leave this world to the real heaven ( or hell ). thanks so much for the nice pics and happynew year to everyone !
We were very happy after eliminated bad Meo or Hmong from our country Laos. The people and tourist can travel and see the beautiful sight-seeing along the mountain from North to South. Right ! no more embush from these dangerous group of people, it would be very interesting to travel in the north of laos : from Luangphrabang to Oudomxay then Luangnamtha-Muongsing, you`ll see different life styles of living of many different ethnics, different people with incredible colorfull and strange manners and cultures of receiving guests that I doubt you`ve never experienced in your life, it reminds me the massage by young Ikoh ladies several years ago... it was like paradise I should say ! and after the massage the head of the village offers you dinner, the lady who gave you massaging 5 minuites ago washed your hands with care and delicacy and then selected the finest pieces of chicken especially for you ..hehe and stayed beside you, eating with you till the end of the meal ! it isn`t that nice ? Ikoh girls are cute ... I don`t continue to relate the end of the event any more ... guess it ! Hahaha ! Regards !
I'm a Lao Loum , birthplace Vientiane : to Saysomboun Security, you should not say "bad Hmong" , you should say " bad people in general " because there are "bad" and "good" people among every ethnics groups . I believe there are VERY good citizens among our compatriots Hmong. Sokdee !

First of all, one has to define what "HEAVEN" means. It has different meaning for each person - maybe - but in general it is, I think, a place where people are happy and have no suffering of any kind. Poverty whereever one sees it, can break one's heart, and shouldn't exist in the so called heaven land.
