I'm looking for as much information as possible about development projects of the area between the friendship bridge and Vientiane, covering a part of Hatsaiphong and Xaysettha districts.
I've ear about many projects as: - railroad from Nong Kai (1st station in ban thanaleng), and certainly the renew of the "east" road from the bridge to Vientiane (now, only the south/west road is really usable) - big commercial zone over 13 ha just behind the borderpass of the bridge - project of building new village for retired workers a few km north the bridge - and of course the big big development project of ThatLuang Marsh by China
But i have only general informations or rumors about those projects. Do you know where i could get more precise informations about all those projects, with maps, planning, detailed descriptions, investment plans, etc... or maybe the name/email/phone number of some officials i could try to meet next month when i'll be in Vientiane for Holidays?
My wife have a small land there yet. My wife's family live there. And my wife's father propose me to buy a big part of his land.
As i think that one day i may live in Laos, i need some good land there, for living, and investment (and maybe support any future business)
But i'm also very affraid about one thing : if the land is too well located, maybe one day the goverment will take the land back for a big development project (and pay very little compensation)... and at the end i would get just nothing.
If i buy this land, it's for me a very long term investment... so i don't want to do mistake/bad choise... bt on the other hand, if one day i can participate to the development of this area, by lauching development project/business on my land, i would be very happy.
