(KPL) The Consular Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on 14 September notified the US embassy in Vientiane that there was neither arrest nor detention of three American nationals of Lao Hmong descendants in Laos.
The notice was based on a request of the US Embassy in Vientiane to search for the three persons arriving in Laos in August. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that the three had left Laos on 29 August through the Vientiane- Nong Khai Friendship Bridge.
According to the information from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs based on a report of the Immigration Department, the three persons were: Mr. Hakit Yang whose name after the search was detected in a similar name as Mr. Halhit Yang, born on 15 June, 1978, entered Laos via Wattay International Airport on 15 June 2007 and left Laos on 29 August 2007 via the Laos-Thailand Friendship Bridge between Vientiane and Nong Kai province.
The second person is Mr.Congshineng Yang, which the Immigration Department found a similar name as Mr. Congshineg Yang, born on 15 June, 1976. with one letter missing. It was possible that due to some technical errors, his date of entry was not available on the immigration control but the authorities found a record of his departure on 29 August via the Laos-Thailand Friendship Bridge.
The third man is Mr. Trullian Yunhason born on 8 May, 1966, entering Laos through Wattay International Airport on 3 August and leaving Laos on 29 August via the Laos-Thailand Friendship Bridge between Vientiane and Nong Khai province.
