The Ministry of Information and Communication is offering a scholarship for international graduate students to promote international collaboration in education for ICT(Information and Communication Technology) and related science and engineering fields.
> Details of Scholarship Program o Applicable Fields: All disciplines related to IT science and engineering o Types of Degree Program: Master。ッs and doctorate o Period and Amount of Scholarships - master。ッs : two years with 10 million won each year per student - doctorate : four years with 14 million won each year per student o Student Qualifications for the Scholarship - Non-Korean citizens under the age of 35 with an excellent academic record 。リ Individuals with an experience of residing in Korea more than 3 months during the period of previous 12 months from the deadline and currently working or studying in Korea are not eligible except those who desire to move on to higher degree programs after being granted a bachelor。ッs or master。ッs degree or stayed on purpose of language training or exchange students - Applicants, whose first language is not English, must submit a TOEFL score of 550 or above (213 for CBT, 79 for iBT) or minimum IELTS score of 6.0 (academic module) from a test taken within the last two years from the deadline except those who submit 5th or 6th grade Korean Language Proficiency Test score certificate issued by Korea Institute of Curriculum & Evaluation. (Tests taken during the last overseas promotion session will be accepted, also.)
> Selection Procedure o How to apply - Korean universities apply for their candidates of international students both electronically (at www.iita.re.kr) and personally to IITA. 。リ International students who want to apply for the scholarship are to express their intention to Korean universities. o Deadline: Jan 8, 2007 17:00
