We have nothing for nothing , old fellows, sorry for those who are affected by the flood at the dam site, they should be generously compensated by the concerning authorities and for the giant catfish, I think we might take and breeding them elsewhere ! and we also have to think about our great grandchildren because no dam would last more than one hundred year and it might cause huge catastrophic circumstances for people at the downstream of the dam that no one can predict after expiration of dam builder warranty. the government has to think twice before taking any decision and think three time before signing any concession agreement that could affect poor and defenseless people and it is the main duty of the government to think about and act for the well being of all lao people. for me , it will be useless to lifting the country out of the poverty level and leaving its people remaining poor. Get nothing for nothing !
Listen, all dams along the Mekong river and its tributaries will have gates or opening slots for the fish to swim up the river for their egg laying upstream. Don't worry too much.
