i think we will vote for it, at lease we will have one of seven wonders of the world near our country, but how many people are using internet and go on line in Laos?? and what about our country, what can be world's seven wonders?? maybe a cultural site or national resources??
Laos to vote for Ha Long Bay
A musical performance programme was held in Vientiane on March 12 to encourage people in Laos to vote for Vietnam’s Ha Long Bay as one of the seven new natural wonders of the world.
The event was co-organised by the Youth Union of the Vietnam Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Lao National University and the Vietnamese Cultural Centre in Laos.
The General Secretary of the Laos-Vietnam Friendship Association, Saikhong Sainasin, said that the event helped Lao students understand more about the natural beauty of Vietnam, including Ha Long Bay. He also called on Lao students and others to vote for Ha Long Bay as a new world natural wonders.
Mr Sainasin emphasised that the voting is a significant activity to celebrate the 1,000th anniversary of Hanoi and the 450th anniversary of Vientiane, as well as to strengthen friendship and solidarity between the two countries.
Ha Long Bay has been twice recognised by UNESCO as the World Heritage for its natural beauty and geology.
Yes, ofcourse, we will vote for VIetnam. Think about the benefit Laos will get from this. Visitors might take a flight from Hanoi and then come to Luang prabang or Vientiane to enjoy another country.
Why dont we vote for ourselve first before voting for others.
As i remember, NAM HA National Protection Area located in Luangnamtha is also one of Condidates for World Natural Wonders along with Halong Bay of Vietnam...

Yes, we vote for Laos and then vietnam, but Lao gov doesn't seem care much about Namha.. do we care??
