Who were the ancesters of Vientiene people now

I've heard that all the original inhabiters of Vientiene city were taken away after the city was sacked for the second time.  If that was the case then who were the ancestors of Vientiene people now?

I don't think the Siamese were able to uproot all people from Viengjun during that time. I think some were able to escape to villeges and jungle and come back later, just my 2cents(kip?).

I think they came from many places.  From all over Laos.  From China, Vietnam and Thailand.  If you want to see original Vientiane people than you have to go to Thonburi and Chaiyaphum.

Yes, there's possibility that our Ancesters might be Chinese as well as Mongolian. Don't forget that our Ancesters migrated all the way down from Inner-Mongolia. Correct me if i'm wrong.

There is no single shred of evidence to support of this long held theory.

We have not been chasing the shepherd. But fathers immigrants to our own. And is a part, is chasing the shepherd. After we have.

 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chaiyaphum_Province
The history of the city of Chaiyaphum dates back to the Khmer Empire in the 12th century, when it was a small city on the route from Angkor to Prasat Singh (Kanchanaburi province). The Prang Ku still remains from this time. In 1817 the area was settled again by a group of Laotians led by Nai Lae, official from Viantiane Kingdom. At first they settled in Baan Nam Khun Nong E Chan (Nakhon Ratchasima province), but soon moved to the current site of Chaiyaphum, then called Baan Luang. When the Lao King Anouvong of Viantiane declared war on Siam, the local ruler Jao Phraya Lae changed allegiance and supported the Siamese troops. In 1826 he was killed by Laotian troops, before these were defeated and all of Laos became part of Siam. Jao Phraya Lae was renamed by the Thais to Phraya Phakdi Chumpon and is still a local hero

So could the ancestors of Vientiene people now be the banh nork people (no offence) who moved in after the Thai army left?  Since all the Vientiene intelligentsia and nobles were rounded up and taken to Thailand.

Be sensible my friend, they share the same blood as us.  Like you and I, we all have to earn a living.  There's nothing wrong with those occupations as long as they're legitimate.

The original Vientiane inhabitants are scattered every corner in Laos or Thailand. Most did not form a centralized group, but they rather assimilated with the local population instead.
