Lao people need to open both eyes to see what Cambodian did. They invited all intelligent Cambodian abroad back to help each other to rebuild their country.
If Lao people still think and look each other as Lao Nai and Lao nork, I think 100 years from now Lao is still poor and poor....

Thaksin economic policy is good only in Thailand and Cambodia because they are Capitalism countries and good for the politician to be elected again so it is not going to work in Laos. Thaksin promote too much Capitalism .

Thaksin is a billionaire so he has a lot of business friends around the world are also billionaires so he would invest them to invest in Cambodia . So those billionaires are intelligent and always thinking of making profit from their investment. So they will not risk their money if there are no benefit for them so they are capitalists and they like leech to suck the blood from the poor and make themselves rich and comfortable that is capitalism.

If you have what do you consider that you done for youself or for other people.

You can't say that he only done for himself when that also benefit the people.

75% of push poll mean not thing beside even if it wasn't push poll it still doesn't mean that the majority is right. No one knows his thought. And if you really do respect the majority vote then you should respect the erection.

This has nothing to do with your comment. I just want to let you know that the correct spelling is "election" and not "erection." Its annoying cause its the 2nd time I saw it mispelled and the meaning is so much different from each other.

It was interesting topic! I 'd like to share my personal perspective between pros and cons about this issue. Cambodian government may made the right decision in appointing Thaksin as their economy advisor. He may do something that can improve the Cambodian economy to be prosper in few years as well as he himself receives some credit to become richer. In the negative side effect is that the Cambodian and the Thais relationship will get sour as the days progress. They will enter the long lasting hatred among the citizens of the two country. It is going to nasty to see these two countried enter the unresolve battles in many generations to come. It is just my thought!

Why is it not going to work in Laos ? Money is money . Investors are investors so what are the different from the investors from south Korea , Japan, Dubai and the free countries that Thaksin will bring them in to invest in Cambodia that you said that will not work in Laos .So what are the different from the Chinese and Vietnamese money any way? There will be more money and more competition and more companies and more taxes and jobs. Of course Thaksin economical policy is good for election because he must be good so the people would elect him again otherwise his opponent will be elected that is how the get the thing done fast and do a good jobs.

So you tell me who doesn't want good profit from their investment ( the world bank ) or the Chinese who built casino or the Vietnamese who are investing in rubber plantation or any kind of business so they just don't want too many competitions in Laos and no body else but Chinese and Vietnamese. In China there have hi tech and cheap labours So that is not sucking blood from the poor while the investors make millions in profit while those labours make $600 to $ 1200 per year.

If Dr Thaksin really could improve and bring the investors from Dubai and south Korea and Japan to Cambodia as he said and make Cambodia to become economy strong that it is meant that he is right and all the wrongly accusing him from the current Thai government are fault. Chevron will drill the Cambodia oil any way and according to Chevron spokesman said that Cambodia oil will bring 4 to 5 billionaire US dollar per year to Cambodia for at least 20 years. Then Laos should consider that Laos should need his advice to bring his billionaires friends to invest in Laos. Perhaps Dr Thaksin might come back in the power again because there are majority of people in Thailand still love him specially people from San and the northern Thailand . If there are fairly election the international poll said that Dr Thaksin will be elected again because majority of people in Thailand are poor people who are Thaksin supporters.
