The Lao Football Federation and Television Nationale Lao are pleased to present the first 4-Nations Football Tournament in the new National Sports Stadium. October 2 to October 6. Six matches with the national teams from Laos, Malaysia, Thailand, and Vietnam.
In preparations for the 2009 SEA Games Laos, the Lao Football Federation, Lao National Television, and Crossfire Co. Ltd, are proud to announce the 2009 4-Nations Football Tournament. The national teams from Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, and Laos are playing an AFC sanctioned tournament, to promote the SEA Games theme of Generosity, Amity, and a Healthy Lifestyle in live television broadcasts throughout the pan-Asian region.
The Lao Football Federation’s goal for this tournament is to help prepare the SEA Games Committee, Lao National Television, and the National Stadium support workers to train in a live tournament before the Sea Games. To help support this effort, the Lao Football Federation appointed Crossfire to manage the event. Crossfire has linked services with Total Sports Asia, an international media company, to bring in experts from around the world to offer training to the SEA Games personnel, and to Lao National Television.

I've never seen Lao team attacks other team like this before! Well done. Looking at the match, Lao team overwhelmed indeed. we just miss many goals otherwised we could have won.
I would like to say, based on our National Team 's performance today, it is not realistic that our team will qualify to Semi final in year-end seagame.
I am quite dissappointed over their performance but i know they tried their best.
1. Vietname team on U 19, we are U23, we should have won with many margin. 2. It played at our own soil, we could not even manage to take home advantage. 3. the way the our team is not open like vietnam, sometime relying on counter attach too much. 4. too much reliance on Lamnao, what would happen if he get injury? or if the Thai team is in the same group with our team, thai team will know Lamnao well because he play in Thai premier league. 5. Our team wasted too much chance. and the it will cost u when i come to real competition.

Man. It's good that they missed many goals in this friendly match. So that will motivate them to work harder in the real SEA Games. Otherwise, if they got so much goals in this match. They would be careless in the real SEA Games. That's the most dangerous part.
This match is worth playing and watching.
OK?
> based on our National Team 's performance today, it is not realistic that our team will qualify to Semi final in year-end seagame.
You can't judge the future based only on the present.
Of course everyone including the player themselves know that they need to work harder.

1. if u watch last time's asean cup last year, you would know that, they wasted of many good chances during that time, i start watching lao foot ball since i was little young. this time. one year has gone, they still waste chance. 2. Man, they need to word hard, because, last time they lost to huang an gialai 2-6, 3 months ago, and this time they still drew with vietnam U 19 who is physically smaller, smaller age, and play in our home. Ofcourse i cant judge the future based on the present. but I have seen this kind of performance over and over again... but anyhow they improved in some aspect. I remember one time, i went to Lao's old national stadium to watch the Vientiane FC (which was lao champion and chalana on the team) lost to Vietnam's team from second division in a friendly match.
Thank you....Thank you for sharing this clip. Actually this is not very good game because Lao team is too strong compare to Vietnam team. Lao team controlled the games at all time. The only thing is the forward players need to play or shoot more accuracy in order to get to final round at SEA game. Reviewed the clip Lao should win 5-1 goal over Vietnam. Good luck Lao soccer team and I am sure you will be champion this SEA game.

Blaiming is easy. Practising is difficult.
Laos lack of "money and people" compare with Vietnam or Thailand. Imagine 6 millions Laos fight with 87 millions Vietnamese or 65 million Thai. With less sponsors or money to feed the player. How will the fight against these big country?
This is the essence of the problem.
It's not they lose this lose that. These folks devote their to play the nation with SO LITTLE income.

They, the Lao team needs sponsors.
If you when them to be strong like Vietnam or Thai team. Just find the way to encourage them.

No one is blaming our team, we all wish our team to conquer teams from across the world.
Just point it out that if our team still in this level, It seem to be hard that our will progress to next round in Seagame in the year-end.
Last time in seagam we drew with SingaporU 23 (giant in South east asia). but yesterday they draw only with vietnam U19...
Oh, please do not follow the old idea as using population of country to compare the soccer team. Look at China have over trillion population but the china soccer team can not compete to Brasil team, Argentian team, Eropean team even South Korea team with far less population compare to China.

OHHHH !!! PLEASSSEEE!!!! do not compare like that those natios are rich. money makes everything better. those countries are rich beyond belief compared to lao. so think about that.
can you compare income with those countries you just mentioned. europe? brazil? argentina those are rich nations. as well as china then again china does not have a good soccer program. but those nations are so they can afford to spend MONEY on their players. its not always size of the population but money as well.

If u keep insisting on this point, you may be wrong, North Korea will be good exemplar.
Laos sent full U23 team. Malaysia sent most players from U19 team with 6 players from U23 team. Thailand sent second team of U19 team. Vietnam sent full U19 team.
It's very easy for champion. but if Laos are can't do this. don't think for semi-final in Seagames.
I think you should organise a high quanlity and competitive league, from that you can choose best players for your national team. Viet Nam also did this way and won the AFF cup!
Dont worry Laos, its just begin, all Vietnamese fan will behind you during the seagames tournament. A.Riedl very good coach, but Laos team need more time to chance, to move up another level. However, U-23 Vietnam will take a gold of seagame25th, we have very good player, lets wait and see. Good luck Laos, hope to see Viet and Laos in final. Hehehehe......
