How a bout you throw Thai-national flower if Thai throws Lao-national flower and you can throw Thai national flag to the dumpster only if Thai do the same to you? If you want to compare make it fair. It's just a flower it universal thing not like it's belong to Lao and Lao only noone can touch it or anything like that Oh for god's sake.

and about the thai national Anthem thing you mean those rumor about refugee? because if you are not Thai noone care if you are gonna stop for thai national Anthem or not really. To be frank I don't give a damn if Lao are gonna watch Thai movie, lakorn or not. You watch it mostly because it's free and if there is anything that better than Thai movie, lakorn you wouldn't care for Thai movie, lakorn and I don't see much impact on Thai if Lao watch or don't watch it anyway.

I can assure you that many Lao refugees have thanked Thailand for giving them shelters from the war regardless of how they were treated in the camp. At the same time I also want you (Thai) to know that during the war:

 

1). Thailand was a base for American air strike in Laos for many years.......So it might be difficult to make all Laos thank Thailand wholeheartedly for saving the war refugees.

 

2). Thailand did not set any extra budget for helping the Lao refugees. Thailand received funds from international organisations to take in refugees but perhaps only half of the money went to them.

 

I agree with some of the comments here that many Lao are very sensitive to the not so friendly comments made by Thai but many Lao do not care about it neither. Lao people have been through so much pain in the past: colonisation, war and war...and then when we have a chance to live our lives peacefully and the last thing we want to hear is the insensitive or insulting comments.
