This is a good idea , but some times people just could not help it , educated or not it depends on the situations. Sometimes it's hard to avoid it as we're only human and we will make mistake here and there even the most well respected figure every where in the world made the same mistakes too as our tongue is very flexible .

yes i agree with you, the worse thing that we talk in here. just ourself but alot of poele that bring other poeple 's parents in to that fight. i think is that unacceptable.

I agree that human's tongue is flexible and people's words are just the air we breathed out, but we don't use tongue to put comment here....... We use hands to type.
Scientifically, the brain control all parts of body, it process all information before deciding to order the actions.
I think exchanging idea in the web board in general can train people to use reason over feeling to argue and debate. If you cannot control your feeling, you are going to be loser.

It has been quite sometimes since the last featured nice sweet Laotian ladies in the "Girls Zone." Maybe its about time to put some pretty girls over there to cool this guys down.

Its no kidding, often times even good topics end up into nasty debates. I think we need to have some diversion.

i think that the only people who should be allowed to post on the forum are the ones who are registered. mainly because a lot of people with bad manners are the ones who incite debates that leads to discriminatory comments are people who post "anonymously." if they are registered, they can be warned.

oh btw, even though the person who started this topic is anonymous, i think this person has good intentions. we should always try to respect one another even when there are disagreements.

Amen to that! X) even though people are entitled to their own opinion... those negative opinions could at least be more professional sounding

Negative topics always attract readers and comments (e.g. Thai looks down on Lao; Thai does this; Thai does that, etc.).

Isn't that supposed to be Admin's job/responsibility to scan/remove any topics/comments that could provoke negativity and misunderstanding? Or does he or she just want to get as many readers/comments to this site as possible?

I'm a regular visitor of this site and really like the latest update of information about Laos but really hate those negative topics and rude/unthoughtful comments from some users.

I agree with the suggestion that only those who have registered as a member should be allowed to post a topic and comment. That way, people will pause and think carefully when they want to say something. Expressing one's opinion is good and healthy but without informed opinion or thinking it can generate misunderstanding/hatred.

Next time I want to comment I should register first :)

i respect people who says things that are negative in a nice way
but if they are flat out rude then i have no respect for them.
i have noticed this is becoming a problem on samakomlao (people who have no manner/rude)

Only people without a ball would cuss at you anonymously. They see Samakomlao a convenient place to hide behind the curtain. I would not hesitate to let them taste the same medicine under my user name BLM. I just simply don't care if they mod wants to ban me.

I think laotian are being too insecure about themself and worried about thai too much. Something need to be done about this matter ASAP! Laotian need to be strong in any situation and a strong mind in all aspect. Since laos is opening to the world they should be strong about there opinion and wise logic in all term. hmm
