if you want internet at home, it's expensive, about 60 us$/month for a very basic DSL line (so much more expensive than what i have in France)

But if you go to internet shop, it's very low price: about 100 kip/minute in Vientiane
1,5 (US$/2 hours)

What I used to do was use the phone line.

It's not so fast but it worked for email and to blog. I couldn't watch youtube or go on Samakomlao as they use so much bandwidth.

It cost very little and I lived out in the countryside. I also used to read all the international news sources.
