We are not the historian so we don't actually know what the true is about? . If you are Thai..your thinking migh be wrong to put this topic to this Samakom Lao. I know that you know well what made Lao falls to Siam since Ayuhaya period till the present Rattanakosin Period.

Lao history wrote in different way of what Siamese wrote in their history.. It was just dark history betwen Lao-Siam. If you pull up about to posting this topic. Somebody Lao here who have very damn hate of Thai people may write some sentense to hurt you Thai feeling. And if you read it and angry then if reply them with the angry and looking down words..It will be big arguement between Lao-Thai again in this blog which always had has happened.

Actually Siam captured Vieng Chan in 1778-79. This happened during the Thonburi era, not Ayutthaya. The Ayutthaya kingdom already ended in 1767. So we can conclude that Laos was under Siamese domination from 1778 to 1893...that's a total of 115 years.

Don't Laos PDR educational system teach the students of this history. I thinking they would be more knowledgable of this part of history.

Lao history textbook tells us , ChaoAnouvong and his squads had  very old weapons , not advanced weapons, but Siamese had better weapons, espeically had guns that bought from the Western ( British and French). Siamese were easy to buy those weapons from aboard due to siam has the ways out to sea and easy to trade with Falang and Western businnessman . In contrast  Laos is landlock, no ways out to the sea.

If you ever watch Thai history movies which base on the true history..Lan Chang became Thai colonial and Lan Chan have to send gift to Ayuthaya every year. Ayuthaya used us to be the colony town.

After Ayuthaya was saked by Burmese Army and fell for 2nd times in 1767. Lan Chang announce to become the independent from Ayuthaya.

Then...We fall to Siam again for in the reign of King Rama I of Rattanakosin Period not in Thonburi period as King Taksin was so busy to build a new capital and fight with Burma and Khmer

Whatever **** history was..I'm not a kind or guy who stuck with this stupid history...I don't even blem to our Lan Chang weaked Kings who can not protect the city and let us being slaves of Siam and French so manies of 100s year. I also hate Comunist party that made Lao being one of the most poorness country in Asia and in the world. But luckily that my family is not poor as other most of us are...

I just wanna go on my own way... Some stupid Lao here, if they want to stuck with the words of "Lao" which Thai people mean "Out of trend and Stupid and uneducated" even it's 70% true but why you guy have to be f uck with it!!! I didn't see the way out while you still begging Thailand tp help our country in everythings.

STUPID!!!!!!

What movie(s) are you refering to? Lan Xang never sent any tribute to Ayutthaya. You're thinking the other way around.
