any ways i would like to know more about this jus for education and information.
Ask the Vietnamese or Thai Dam at Dien Bien Phu how we lost it. We lost that terrritory to Vietnam after the French-Vietminh war at Dien Bien Phu, I guess.
my mom just went there last week. people of Bienbienfoo is thai dam who still speak lao., live in the house like lao house,. eat sticky rice . Yes DBFwas laos. why lose to vn? bc when french colonie, laos and VN we fight french back and both Lao n VN say who is win that mean DBF belong to who win so vn win french since that DBF belong toVN. My mom have a chance to talk to the local leader they styll say they are lao.

yeah thanks for the responses guys haha sorry i ment how did we "lose " (past tense) the land to vietnam, i didnt mean we are still losing them.
but yeahhh those guys still say they are lao thats tight!!! lao blood runs deep no matter which borders u are behind.
yah that makes sense. i hope someday we can reclaim our lands back in a peaceful manner.
and yeah one more thing i also saw the episode of no reservations when anthony bourdain went into the northern regions of vietnam and those guys lived in lao houses and dressed like lao and i even herd them speak lao.
