(KPL) The Vientiane Boxing Federation organised a reception at Vientiane to congratulate the local boxers who had bagged one gold and three bronze medals from the 8th National Games in Champassak province last December. Chairman of Vientiane Boxing Federation, Mr Sounthone Philavanh said that the Vientiane athletes had trained hard for the national games. He added that the federation has sent 15 categories of boxers to compete in 15 matches, four in the women�s section and 11 in the men�s section. Vientiane�s woman boxer, Lamphoun won a gold medal for the province in boxing at this sports meet. At this reception the federation presented 11 million kip to the gold medal winner, Lamphoun, four million kip to each of the three bronze medal winners and consolation money of three million kip to each for those boxers who failed to bag any medal. The ceremony was attended by a member of Vientiane�s Party Committee, Mr Lathsanivong Amarathithada., other athletes and the officials of the federation.
