First International Education Exhibition of Laos opened
(KPL) The first International Education Exhibition of Laos opened last Friday at the Lao International Trade Exhibition and Convention Centre (Lao ITECC), Vientiane with the aim to promote education in Laos. A three day event introduced about 80 education institutions from Thailand, Australia, Singapore, Malaysia and also from Laos. The types of products and services offered by these exhibitors include pre-schools, elementary, secondary and tertiary education programmes. Also available are vocational and distance learning programs, short courses and education toys. To ensure a good turnout of public visitors to this inaugural event, the Ministry of Education of Laos, through its Department of Planning and Cooperation, has sent out circulars and posters to all the public and private schools in Vientiane to encourage the staff and students to attend. Mr. Lytu Bouapao, Deputy Minister of Education, Mr. Damien P. Lim, Director of Gold Media, Mr. Pramuk Montivat Director of Commerce Promotion of Thailand joined to cut the ribbon the exhibition in the present of attendees. The first International Education Exhibition is an important for Lao education, this was the first event of Laos, which the Ministry of Education in cooperation with friendly countries with the aim to provide understanding to people. The exhibition event is aptly called project LIFE 2009, where LIFE stands for �Lao International Fair on Education� as it is the common belief that education can bring forth a better future and a better life for the individuals and nation.
