(KPL) The Government will seriously tackle the transaction of illegal cars are being booming in Vientiane Capital and the tax payment of entrepreneurs is lower than the realistic conditions. The solution was approved at monthly meeting of the Government held last week, by taking into enforce strictly in importing cars and limit of importing cars. According to Mr Cheuang Sombounkhanh, Minister to Prime Minister’s Office, Head of Cabinet Secretariat on 19 December who informed the result of monthly government meeting held on 17-18 December. He said that the Government will crack down illegal cars flooded and available for sale in Vientiane Capital currently. “The Government made a decision in the suppression of illegal cars after finding 34 illegal car dealers out of total number of 129 dealers including its branches in Vientiane Capital,” he stated further.
While there are 40 legal dealers were paying tax but the figure is still lower than the fact and it is not suitable the figure of business. The dealers have paid monthly tax of 300,000 per month and unacceptable to pay any tax by giving reason they can not sell any cars. When compare to the regular tax payment of big dealers saw that it was difference.
In the data collection of the Ministry of Finance was reported at the monthly government meeting found that every 20 cars are available for sale in the car dealers, of which 12 cars were declared as assembled car or low tax and eight one was declared as 1 percent of tax.
This case is current found and spreading in Vientiane Capital that against law due to management of importing vehicles and transaction of vehicles are not properly strict.
This leads to leakage of uncountable figure of revenue and social shortcoming occurrence.
In order to tackle the matter, the Government improved the board of ad hoc committee to launch an inspection of car dealers, improve rule of import, tax payment of used cars and other regulation that regards to the car transaction.
