I think Phatou xai or Victoria Gate is the most suitable.

I think if the Prime Minister or Vientiane Cap major is leading the event is considered as high priority to welcome the new year season. All Vientiane citizen and tourists can gather at Phatou xai and countdown together. the prime Minister or major may go to the top of Phatou xai and urge all people to count down from 10 to 1.

the beautiful firework would be lit up to welcome the new good season. Before countdown, there should have some entertainment activities, games ,mini-concert ,etc surounded by Phatou xai.

I really wish this kind of activity happen in Vientiane or elsewhere across the country. So people can enjoy spending time to fasten their harmonization and unity, and the tourists would be impressed our country.
