If you listen, one of the mc is talking about Lao people crossing the bridge to go home. Both the mc and the singer were addressing the audience in pasa Lao. Why would they be doing that if the audience were not Lao?
the only Thai celebraty that i known, he's pround to be Lao is Annada Everihamh, Thai actor mix Lao and Australian. I heard from my own ears from Thai shown... correct me if i spell his name wrong.
Oh, i donn't see anything wrong if Lao people love Thai celebraties or from any other countries, as long as they enjoy and makes them happy.
