took this shot flying from Vientiane to Sam Neua. It's always a gamble flying into Sam Neua because it's often fogged/clouded in, as you can see from this shot. As Laos is a land locked and mountainous country about two thirds of the airfields have limited strips inappropriate for medium size or large airplanes. The Y12 has the advantage, with its ability of short take-off and landing, to serve more places throughout the country especially the northern part of Laos where the road access is getting better, but very time. I love the Y12 plane because if you sit in the back on either side the window is huge with no propeller prop to get in your way.
