My uncle in Laos are richer than most Lao American.  His home is worth 4 million USD.  He have 4 mercedez.  His children go to private school.  They study English, Chinese, And Japanese in school.

When i went to visit them, I feel ashamed.  Because my parents brought me to America, and we still have nothing like they do.  Yes, we have freedom in the US, but i dont see any restriction on his children.  They were pretty free, to go about anywhere they want.  63dtq

The rich people in Laos, never left Laos.  With or without the Communist, they can still make profit.  They know how to work the system. 

USA- Democratic   ALot of rich people
China- Communist. ALot of rich people
Burma- Dictator.  ALot of rich people
Russia-One party democratic- ALot of rich people
Thailand-Malitary Monarchy- Alot of rich people
Ethiopia-Poorest country- Alot of rich people
Laos-Social democratic- Alot of rich people

Rich people care about money.  While idealist are poor.

That's how rich people get rich.  Why do you think Nikki clothing, and other open shop in Thailand.  Cheap labour.  Now a lot of Jobs in China are going to Vietnam, because its cheaper Labour. 

The Korean, Japanese, and other knows, in the future, it will be cheaper to produce goods in Laos than in Thailand.  That is why they are investing billions of Dollar in Laos.

That what you call "using the system".  Every have not countries does these.  They used their poor status to get grant from richer country.  In fantasy  those money are supposed to go help the poor like your relatives.  But in reality those money are going to wealthy people.  You know give some, take some.

They are not begging for them.  They used poor Laos people.

Billions US dollars are pouring in to Laos each year.  Where are those money going.  To rich peopl.  Not to your poor relatives.  But eventually the trickle down effect will put some money to the poor people. 

Do you know how revolution get started?.  When one group of rich people dislike the other group of rich people.  The one that did not get what they want, they incite the poor people and tell them what they want to hear.  Feed them idealogist craps, so they would change the government.  Once they are in power, same old, same old.

In Thailand today , the struggle is between Taksin(rich) vs The King(rich).  Both sides pays poor people to demonstrate and die for them.  The power of rich people.

Do you see the resemblance between rich Lao and rich Thai girls.  They kind of looked the same.  White skin, fake sharp nose, tall, and look kind of snotty.

This is the same logic the Thai used to compare Thailand and Laos.  Daaah!, its obvious. It has to be fair comparision. Like Thailand vs Singarpore, or Thailand vs Japan.  Or Thailand vs China.  Lao America vs White American.

The salary of the president of the United State is about $250,000. 00 per year.  My uncle make more than that a year in Laos.  The ex priminster of Thailand "Taksin" is worth 4 billion USD.  Even the Dictator general of Burma, makes more money then the president of the United State.
