i don't know... i guess it depend if their parents talk with htem in Lao or not.
But they can also have lao language lessons... at the same place as lao dancing lessons

You know when many lao arrived in France, they made lot of efforts to integrate french society... find their place.... so parents asked their cildren to speak only french

now, history has gone, most of lao originated family are well integrated, things are also much better in Laos so many lao originated people want to renew contact with their origins : learn/teach lao, go back to laos for holidays.... moreover, more and more french discover laos and mary lao person... so we have more and more franco-lao couples in france, who want to live with the 2 cultures and mix them, to get the best of each culture!

Thanks to their parents and teachers.

I just glad no matter where we are we still hold on to our custom and tradition.
