(KPL) The Lao PDR is one of countries in the world that import goods rather than export, especially the importation of goods from its neighboring countries of Thailand, Vietnam and Republic of China.
In 2006-2007 alone, the figure of goods import from Thailand is still in the first rank while the import from Vietnam and China is second and third ranks respectively.
According to the statistics from the ministry of industry and trade, the most importation in 2006-2007 period with the total cost of US$ 28,392,145 were from Thailand which comprised of 17 goods items including fuel, gas, vehicles, spare part, electricity appliance and some materials for investment project and industry production.
The statistic also mentioned that the materials for projects and investment was the first importation with the worth of US$ 12,088,949 while the fuel and gas cost US$ 4,600,104 was the second and materials for industry propose worth US$ 4,144,500 was the third rank of importation.
The Vietnam which was the second rank of importation with 13 items of goods and cost US$ 4,561,940 were fuel, gas, vehicles, spare part and some materials for industry production, goods for international organization.
China with 11 items of goods importation and total value of US$ 3,746,600. These included US$ 1,730,760 of materials for agricultural production, US$827,931 garments and US$ 403,420 electricity appliance.

Hope someday laos can make lot of thing I mean everything you guy don`t have to blame another seem to be no more LAOS soon inside country more chinese from china and more vietnamese from vietnam and product from thailand I don`t know in the future who gonna take laos over
Lao people don't LOVE Thai products per se, we have no choice but buying from them (Thailand). If we have all these products in our neck of the woods, I am sure we won't buy them from our neighbor country.
