Hundred of signboards light up at night in a small town of Vang vieng city to attract backpackers. This reminds me something similar in Kaosan road, Thailand

I've heard there are now 82 hotels.

I spend an afternoon there last year. I went to the restaurant that everyone said had the best Lao food, Viengchampa. Mostly people from Vientiane stoped in to eat, only a few falang. Too bad for them, very good food.
